Birth Certificates

The procedure for obtaining a birth certificate from  Subdivisional Council

1) Birth certificate by acknowledgment

The following documents must be provided:

– Declaration of birth issued by the hospital;

– Photocopy of the father’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the mother’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the father’s witness’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the mother’s witness’s national identity card;

Note: If the child was not born in a hospital, the birth declaration is not mandatory.

2) Ordinary birth certificate

The following documents must be provided:

– Declaration of birth issued by the hospital;

– Photocopy of the father’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the mother’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the marriage certificate;

Note: If the child was not born in a hospital, the declaration of birth is not mandatory.

3) Birth certificate by transcription

The following documents must be provided:

– Photocopy of the birth certificate + the original;

– Photocopy of the father’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the mother’s national identity card;

4) Birth certificate by judgment

The following documents must be provided:

– Certified copy of the judgment;

– Photocopy of the father’s national identity card;

– Photocopy of the mother’s national identity card;
